pOLAND WORKSHOP

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

I create theater workshops in various places. I create my spectacles, adaptations of books, and stories. I use drama, puppets, black theater (e.g., with light stick), and movement theater. Sometimes I use multimedia and animations in my performances. Every year I prepare participants for the oldest recitation competition in Poland.
I usually build my performances using drama and socially engaged theater methods.
In the method of drama, I use creative and engaging work methods connected with role-playing, creating stories, metaphors, and symbols. I use interdisciplinary methods, combining knowledge from such fields as psychology, pedagogy, sociology, theology, and theology (my degree: Master of Theology). They usually result in moving performances, usually based on real events from the lives of the participants or the community, or those that might happen to the participants or their relatives. They touch on emotional, psychological, and sometimes faith issues.
I care about involving the audience in identifying with the characters or arousing empathy towards the problem presented in the performance, engaging the emotions of the audience.
The scenarios are inspired by memories, stories, tales rooted and functioning in a given community or topics important for the participants, e.g., time, memory, the role of women, human rights.
I use literature, prose, and poetry with my students.  We look for stories that are ours - if we could write them. I very rarely write a script in my own words, preferring to trust the masters of words.
I like to build theatrical puppets, you can use them in really difficult scenic situations that young people are not able to act out, or they are an additional symbol. We often build them together with young people, they then give them "life".
Sometimes we also build the story through movement itself, which gives another emotional and visual layer.
In my workshops, I use the interactive theater form created and developed by the Brazilian director and educator Augusto Boal. During the rehearsals, while building etudes, you can "add" its continuation or change. But only during workshops - I use this method for group development, building trust, ability to solve scenic situations, etc.

I am director (stage-manager) of Theatre Manufaktura for young people, operating in the municipal community center at Bielsko-Biała.  I create theater workshops in various places. I will create my own spectacles, adaptations of books and stories. I use drama,  puppets, black theater and movement theater. Sometimes I use multimedia and animations in my performances. Every year I prepare participants of the oldest recitation competition in Poland.

My performances are awarded in competitions and theater festivals, but this is not the most important thing. Getting to know, participating, being friends - these are important things in my groups and workshops.

Also I am the teacher of job subjects in the field of computer graphics (majors: advertising techniques and photography and multimedia techniques) technical school in Bielsko-Biała. I am designer advertising and “compose and breaks” but not bones ...  only text (cooperation with publishers).

Also I love travel and I am enthusiast of not only mountain tourism.

I was participant in programme Erazmus+ two times in Glasgow and Florence. It was fantastic experience. I learned to work with groups at risk of social exclusion. I was creating art-therapeutic's puppet performances and I was create workshop with digital skills.
