evening we went to an Italian restaurant near the apartment where we experienced the best service experience we had ever received (NOT). Because of the panic about the Pilates studio, our boys joined to a slumber party in the apartment of the Israeli girls where we slept like sardines. (And it turns out that the Germans did exactly the same thing). Sorry Boys .....
The next day we woke up for a rainy, cool morning that no Israeli was used to (especially in August), we took our tourist's ponchos and went downtown to eat breakfast at a cafe.
Immediately afterwards, we met in an area close to the big church, to meet everyone at last officially. there we were given sandwiches like in a summer camp, but there was no chocolate milk (;
The event opened with introductory remarks about folk tales and then we divided into small groups that included a representative from each country. Each group received a topic centered on folk stories of course and the task was to make a presentation to the same subject. Some of the themes were gender, popular themes of folk tales, different languages, history, politics and more. Each group had about 15 minutes to do research on its subject before the presentation itself. Beyond the fact that everyone shared a lot of stories and very interesting hypotheses, there was also a situation where everyone talked about Disney movies. Which was also very interesting.
Afterwards, the task was to do wordless improvisation in connection with the topics discussed. It was nice, funny and embarrassing at the same time.
We left the meeting starving in the direction of the restaurant in the marina, where we ate a delicious salad and risotto, and after a tiny rest in the square with ice cream in our hands, we got to the big activity, where we imagined we were ninjas. There was no doubt that we were a legend and attracted all the residents and other tourists.
And here is the end of our first day. We're going to sleep. Waiting for tomorrow.
Good night
