Third day

There are eight German participants in “Future Telling”, distributed over three workshops: physical theatre with Kimmo, theatre from imagination with Halil and devised theatre with Maja. Working in each of these groups on an everyday basis allows us to expand our experience in, and our knowledge of theater; and to grow both as theater practitioners and as personalities. We have mastered challenges to our physical abilities in ways we didn’t think possible before and we have received countless new impulses for creating a play or a character and how to think about theater in general.

Besides from the excellent, extraordinary, engaging theatre work, there are original and fun communal activities, which allow us to mix with participants from the other countries and get to know them better. For example an incredibly fun karaoke night at the beach today (wednesday). Overall, whenever we, or any one of us, sits with the other participants, or meets them by chance in the discerningly beautiful streets of Izola, we feel how there has been this shared spirit among all participants. Practically from the first time we met everyone is so deeply open and honestly interested in the others’ lives, thoughts and talents. Everyone is getting in touch with everyone else. Talking, dancing, laughing, singing, crying, doing yoga together and so on without the slightest trace of prejudice, scepticism or the like. If “living together would be as it is between us everywhere and every time, the world would be a much better, warmer and more caring place. We are confident that we have all inspired one another to strive to achieve this change in the world. To literally tell the future in this way.

Thank you to anyone involved making this project happen, and thank you to our incredible welfare leader Naemi in particular, for providing us with this amazing opportunity. The time here has gifted us so much, so much more than we ever could have dreamed of.
